from the looks of this, i'm guessing there were no black people who could dance in the 1950s....
so this was supposed to be the companion movie to "gentlemen prefer blondes" & was a huge flop. jeanne crain is gorgeous, but not sexy(& def not sexy enough to replace marilyn monroe).jane russell has gained about 20 lbs & most of her costumes are pretty unflattering. she does her best marilyn monroe impersonation & pretty much fails. an amazon like jane could never be a mm type. it just doesn't make sense.
the songs are not original.the costumes are all borrowed from other movies(literally).is it worth 2 hours of your life? not really...
