ok, so i was watching the news & they had a segment on the new show "Kid Nation". the segment was about how some of the parents of the kids were suing the producers. one child came home with a burnt face (from trying to cook) & some of the other kids drank bleach while taping the show.....
i just started crying, it was soooooooooo sad. those poor kids & the fact that the crew guys did NOTHING to help them. on every reality show, there is plenty of people behind the camera & hidden in different parts of the house. yes, i get that the show is about a "Lord of the Flies" type environment, but what kind of *sshole would allow a child to drink bleach?????!!!!!!!??????
when i first saw the ads for the show, i thought it was a great idea. i LOVE shows like "Manor House", "Colonial House", "Texas Ranch House", etc (they are like my kryptonite). but now i don't know if i want to support something like this. yeah, it's funny to watch people in embarrassing situations & losers who debase themselves, but children in peril is NOT entertainment. history always repeats itself. just read your history books about Rome & you'll see some striking similarities.....just my 2 cents.......
