asshole neighbors

so i moved out of beverly hills into an apartment near downtown(& not the "good" part of dt with rich white kids slumming).i don't mind, i am not bothered with having minority neighbors.it is the assholes that i have a problem with.

my neighbor(we'll call her latavia)has a couple of kids.she is on welfare,her boyfriend stops by at night to argue with her every once & a while. she sits inside the apartment doing drugs while her kids play dodgeball in the hallway.

one day,i ask her to turn down her music & take the kids outside where they can play.latavia is pissed, now.she gives me a flippant answer,i go back inside.she turns up her music all the way, starts yelling out the lyrics.her kids are still in the hallway playing.latavia is damn near 30.

days pass & around midnight the kids are in the hallway playing.latavia & boyfriend are inside yelling.i call the cps.she is hitting her children,cursing them out,getting high & neglecting them.not a good mother,not a good person.

cps arrives & i hear latavia screaming. "she ain't from the hood.dis my hood!blahblahblah".i guess she is talking about me.later she shows up at my door waving around a cigarette.says that cps was called & it is the kids down the hall that are loud.she is there pretending to be a real person.acting like i dont remember her trying to disrespect me earlier.i nod & say "i dont even know you" & close the door.

i'm sure she was only mad because cps can stop her food stamps & welfare checks. of course, i will call cps again until something is done about her.she is still an abusive asshole & no amount of reasoning will help.there should be mandatory parenting classes for all pregnant women.you have to get a license to drive, yet any idiot can raise children.it really boggles the mind.
