Men on Film

finally saw "Anvil" & it was the 2nd funniest movie i've seen all year. 1st is "Bruno", of course. total real life "Spinal Tap" & i found it amazing that the audience had the nerve to laugh at them than with them. the audience was filled with never was type actors, y'know, the kind that should have understood what Anvil was going through. working hard everyday to achieve your goal & never quite making it.....eh
whatever

also finally saw "The Outsiders". hated it! it was sooooooooooooooo corny & predictable. i know S.E. Hinton books are for children but i expected so much more. plus the audience kept laughing whenever Tom Cruise got onscreen. he was very distracting. the Stevie Wonder song wasn't 1950s AT ALL & the whole "stay gold" lines just made me want to puke. Diane Lane was gorgeous, but all the acting was TERRIBLE. fake crying by Rob Lowe & Matt Dillon & the whole time i kept thinking "When is this shit over?". the audience clapped at the end & i ran as fast as i could for the exit
